Māori owned and community driven

Who we are & what we stand for

FNR are proud to be a Māori owned and operated, local group of companies with a commitment to building a business that not only meets the needs of our clients but also serves our staff, their whānau, and the community at large. FNR Group currently has 5 divisions: Civil, Construction, Consulting, Concrete and Quarries.

FNR has been operating as Far North Roading Ltd since 2011. Our Managing Directors have been working in the Far North’s civil construction industry for decades prior. We employ approximately 150 highly trained, versatile and vastly experienced staff across our operations, all based from our depots in Kaitaia, Pukepoto and Kaikohe. This makes us one of the largest local employers and a significant contributor to the Far North district’s economy. Approximately 70% of our staff are Maori, including both our company directors and we whakapapa to all the local iwi in the Te Hiku rohe.

FNR has a strong record of delivering to the time, cost and quality requirements of our clients, with one of the largest and most modern fleets of plant and equipment in the North.

FNR’s aim is to provide the Far North with reliable, professional and quality construction services. As a group, FNR has the financial capacity to successfully deliver projects of all types and scale. Due to the size and robustness of our business we are able to back our work 100%. FNR does this with our skilled and capable team, reliable plant and equipment and a commitment to successful outcomes for our customers.
