Our Commitment

Quality, Safety, and Community. Setting the standard for excellence while giving back to the Far North.

Certified standards for quality, safety, and performance

Integrated QEHS Management System

FNR Group operates an ISO-certified integrated Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety (QEHS) Management System. This framework ensures every part of our business upholds the same high standards for safety, environmental care, and quality.

Our goal is simple, to exceed client expectations while protecting our people, our environment, and the communities we work in.
We continuously set and review objectives to drive improvement, consult with our team on health and safety matters, and seek specialist input when required.

Through this system, FNR maintains full compliance with legal, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements, ensuring coordinated performance and consistent quality across all divisions.

Building connections beyond the worksite

Digging in for Our Community

FNR believes success is best measured by the positive impact we make in the Far North.

We’re proud to sponsor the Northland Men’s and Women’s NPC teams, Awanui Rugby Club, and several local sports and school teams. These partnerships help nurture local talent, encourage participation, and strengthen community spirit.

We also support the next generation through education and training. FNR regularly takes part in initiatives like the Kaitaia College Careers Day and the Gateway Programme, providing students with hands-on industry experience and mentorship. By investing in local youth, we’re helping to build stronger career pathways and a sustainable future for the region.

Sponsorship of the Northland Men and Women’s NPC Team
FNR is proud to be a key sponsor of the Northland Men’s and Women’s NPC teams, demonstrating our commitment to supporting local sports and fostering community spirit. By partnering with these teams, we aim to promote teamwork, dedication, and excellence both on and off the field.

In addition to our sponsorship of the NPC teams, we also support the Awanui Rugby Club helping to nurture local talent and encourage participation in sports. Our commitment extends to assisting smaller community teams, including local basketball and rugby clubs, as well as school teams like netball, by providing tournament fuel and resources to enable their participation in various competitions. Through these initiatives, FNR is dedicated to enhancing the sports landscape in Northland and empowering the next generation of athletes.

Kaitaia College Careers Day
On May 21, 2024, FNR proudly participated in the annual Careers Day at Kaitaia College, where we set up a stall to showcase local career pathways and opportunities for students. As the only locally owned company represented at the Roadshow, we were honored to engage with a diverse audience of approx 1,000 students.

This year, we had the unique opportunity to connect with the newly established Trades Academy class. Our team provided insights into various career options and encouraged students to explore gateway opportunities with us. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering local talent and supporting the educational development of the community.

Gateway Opportunities at FNR
At FNR, we are dedicated to providing gateway opportunities for students, allowing them to gain firsthand experience in a working environment. Recently, we welcomed Tahuna Karena-Waenga as a gateway student for a month at our Grigg St site. Under the supervision of Site Foreman Ryan, Tahuna demonstrated a strong willingness to learn and actively engaged in various tasks, including assisting with the installation of PVC ducting across our 17 lots. He effectively followed instructions, collaborated well with team members, and showed confidence in operating small machinery, such as excavators and plate compactors. Tahuna’s initiative and strong communication skills made him a valuable addition to our team during his time with us.
